Wildlife Survival Alliance Foundation India (Formerly TSA Foundation India) pioneers the longest-running and most species-diverse aquatic biology and conservation programs across the vast Ganga and Brahmaputra riverscapes. We strive to advance state-of-the-art research, wildlife rescue, habitat conservation, and community outreach. By bringing freshwater turtles and lesser-known aquatic wildlife—including river dolphins, gharials, and aquatic birds—along with their critical habitats to the forefront, WSA is helping reshape the conservation landscape of the country. Beyond field science, WSA actively engages with policymakers and government agencies on threatened wildlife resources and provides essential ground-level support for wildlife conservation.

Our Vision
WSA envisions a future where biodiversity thrives, aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems are restored and resilient, and India’s unique wildlife is valued and protected by society.
Mission
Our mission is to conserve India’s non-marine chelonians, crocodilians, and cetaceans through scientific research, conservation action, capacity building, education, and community engagement in priority landscapes.
